Nearly every contemporary song recorded in the past 50 years is played with chords, which are a bunch of notes (sounds) played at the same time.
So if you master just 8 chords and just ONE rhythm, PLUS how to play and sing in easier keys - you could sit in with nearly any contemporary band and play along!! (even if it’s only on mp3 or video)
And once you’ve learned basic Guitar, it’s easy to see how to transfer your new skills to Keyboard, Bass, and Drums if you want.
ONLY FOUR STEPS!
1. Learn just 8 chords.
2. Play them as a pattern using just 1 rhythm.
3. Play your first song.
4. Change songs you like into easier keys to sing and play.
Then you’re ready to play more songs than you’ll ever fit in your lifetime!
And remember everything you click in these four steps is absoutely FREE!!
(but you'll need your own Guitar unless you’re playing “Air-Guitar”)
Ready...step ONE "Learn just 8 chords".
And here they are...

Strings marked “x” aren’t played if you can avoid them.
(some people mark strings “o” for “open” if no fingers are stuck on them)
These are the fingers to use on each string. (1 is your index/pointer finger)
You can use different fingers if you want, but these will save you time learning other chords later on in the course.
Strum down with your thumb and say the name of the chord out loud.
Here's the video for you, showing how they’re played on Guitar.
Let's not get TOO technical, BUT...every alphabetical letter from A to G can have two different chords played on it, major OR minor (let's look at that down the track).
So learn to say "minor" if the chord has a little "m" after it, and "sharp" if it has a little "#" after it, eg F#m is called F sharp minor.
That'll make things MUCH easier down the track..
You can print these FREE LESSONS if it’s easier,
along with a BIG HINT for learning them MUCH quicker by playing blind!
Test yourself once you reckon you've learned them, to check how well you can build them on our virtual guitar. You’re only as good as your worst chord, so no cheating! And remember to build them just like the pikky
above for now, starting with the thinnest string!
It'll be much quicker if you know the name of each Guitar string,
so here's how to learn them.
And THAT'S IT for Step One. Just 8 chords!!
Take your time to really master these 8 chords by memory.
Once you're sure you've done that, you're ready for STEP TWO!!
