My parents weren’t convinced I was serious about playing drums, and they couldn’t afford to buy me a kit anyway. So I started playing rock patterns on mum’s ironing board – wrecked the cover but it meant I didn’t have to wait to save up for a kit! I even borrowed her cake cooler and hung it on the spring-loaded powercord bar, so I could have a ride cymbal. No real sticks either, just a couple of thin rectangular bits of dowel with felt pen designs on the “tips”. So don’t give up on your dream of playing music. And don’t wait for all the planets to align before you get started. Do it today!

Believe it or not, these are names people give to a squash ball!
Because it takes so long to get strong fingers with traditional, boring exercises, we use isometric exercises to build strength much quicker. People become so close to their squash ball, they even give it a name, and dress it up, colour it up etc. I guess - whatever gets you motivated so your fingers can play what you want, quicker and easier!
